Program information


The Women’s Behavioral Health Program at Aspen is designed to address and treat mental disorders that affect women, especially during pre- and post-partum periods. Dr. Shahina Jafry, a psychiatrist who oversees this program, is experienced in helping women achieve optimum mental health.

  • Case management updates with referring OB/GYN providers

Emphasis of the program

  • Pre- and post-partum depression
  • Pre- and post-partum bipolar
  • Pre- and post-partum anxiety
  • Premenstrual dysphonic disorder (PMDD)

Secondary focus

  • The program also will focus on the changes that occur during menopause and its relation to mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety and sexual issues.
